Happiness

In today's world, happiness could mean a lot of things to people. It could mean having a great job, having a family, making a lot of money, being a professional athlete, etc. But, sometimes people can confuse happiness with greed or the views on happiness can be altered. Such as by money or fame, but there are people that can come back from this. A great example would be Britney Spears. As many people already know, Britney Spears is a recording artist and entertainer. As a child, Britney Spears was casted in the show, The Mickey Mouse Club. Alongside her was a future star, Justin Timberlake. On January 12, 1999 her debut studio album, Baby One More Time was released. It debuted at number 1 on the U.S Billboard 100. Britney Spears, at a young age, was idolized. She was constantly followed by paparazzi. She was quickly becoming a top star. She achieved fame and fortune, which to anyone would mean happiness, but was she truly happy. In 2007, Spears shaved her head and began suffering drug abuse problems. Now Spears appears to be healthy and seems to once again be happy. Fame and fortune can alter people's views on happiness. Spears might believe that she is truly happy, but Aristotle believes differently. He believes that happiness cannot be achieved until the end of one's life. Hence it is a goal and not a temporary state.
